Chiropractic Care Frequently Asked Questions
Your Questions About Chiropractic Care, Answered
Honest, straightforward answers about what to expect, how we work, and why patients across the Woburn area trust us with their health.
Your First Visit
What happens during my first appointment?
Your first visit includes a comprehensive evaluation: postural inspection, range of motion testing, orthopedic and neurological assessments, and muscle testing. Dr. Moramarco takes the time to understand your full health history before recommending any course of care.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
No referral is necessary. You can contact our office directly to schedule your first appointment at a time that works for you.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring any relevant medical records, imaging such as X-rays or an MRI, and your insurance card. If possible, send us copies of the above items ahead of time.
If you were involved in a car accident or work injury, bring any related documentation. Our team will walk you through the rest.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Yes. Chiropractic is a well-established, conservative approach to musculoskeletal health. Dr. Moramarco brings nearly 40 years of clinical experience to every patient, and your treatment plan will always reflect your individual needs and comfort level.
Treatment and Care
I’m nervous about the “cracking” sound. Do adjustments have to work that way?
Not at all. If manual adjustments are not for you, Dr. Moramarco offers low-force adjustments using the Activator® method, a gentle, instrument-based technique with no cracking or thrusting. You will never be pressured into a treatment style that makes you uncomfortable.
How many visits will I need?
Care is organized into phases: Relief Care, Rehabilitation, and optional Maintenance. The right plan depends on your condition and goals. We do not require long-term commitments. Once your objectives are met, the decision to continue is always yours.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of conditions, including back pain, sciatica, disc injuries, sports injuries, neck pain, whiplash from auto accidents, musculoskeletal injuries, and adult scoliosis. If you are unsure whether your condition is a fit, give us a call and we will be glad to talk it through.
Will I need surgery?
In most cases, no. Our approach is built on conservative, non-invasive care. Clinical experience shows that many patients, including those with significant disc problems or sciatica, can achieve meaningful pain relief without surgery. A thorough evaluation helps us confirm the best path forward.
Insurance, Costs, and Office Details
Do you accept insurance?
We accept some major insurance plans. Contact our office and Jeannine, our insurance specialist with over 30 years of experience, will verify your coverage and explain your options before your first visit.
What if my insurance does not cover chiropractic care?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. We are also a CareCredit provider, giving patients a flexible financing option for care not fully covered by insurance. Nutritional supplements ordered through our online dispensary can be purchased using FSA or HSA funds.
Where is your office, and what areas do you serve?
